NATURE NEVER HURRIES is a site-responsive installation especially developed for the Swiss Design Awards. Through overlapping images all over the walls and even including the floor, my aim is to merge us into a tangible and thus unusual, extraordinary world.

I intermingle photography with my paintings in order to create a large, double-layered collage. I experiment with volumes and depth, combining photographic elements (natural subjects such as water, plants and landscapes) with scanned paintings (dried watercolour paint, clay or crystallised salt for example).

Lacerating first layers allows colours and structures to appear from the print underneath. I connect natural and artificial, figurative and abstract, reinventing combinations and techniques. The multi- layered images come to life, reacting to the surrounding light and movement of the visitor. Stimulated by organic colourful images, contemplation opens up the connections to our subconscious.
